Programs, groups and journals for coaching clients

Practice Better offers fixed-date programs and group classes from Professional, and self-paced and evergreen programs from Plus, $99 a month, billed monthly. Food and lifestyle journals come on every plan.

Fixed-date programs run between set dates, self-paced ones open each module once the one before is done, and evergreen ones open modules from the date a client enrolls. Built-in video is one-to-one, so group sessions run through your own Zoom account and the group size follows your Zoom plan.

Healthie's online programs and group telehealth start at its Plus plan. Carepatron's group telehealth starts at its Plus plan, $39 a month, billed monthly.

Health records and HIPAA: what each tool names about a BAA

HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) applies to covered entities and the business associates they contract, and a BAA (business associate agreement) is the written contract between them, as HHS describes it. Whether a coaching practice is covered is a question for HHS and the CMS decision tool, and do health coaches need to be HIPAA compliant lays out the steps. This page covers software features and plans, not medical or legal advice.

Practice Better says its BAA is signed in the account on every plan, Sprout included, and that signing does not by itself make a practice compliant. Carepatron's help center says it offers a BAA to customers who handle electronic health information and leaves configuration to the user. HoneyBook's pricing page names no HIPAA or BAA terms.

Pricing by client count: CoachAccountable and HoneyBook

CoachAccountable charges by active clients, monthly only: $20 a month for 2 clients, $40 for 5 and $70 for 10. Every plan has every feature, its trial is 30 days with no card, and its page names no currency.

HoneyBook Starter is $36 a month, billed monthly, or $29 a month, billed yearly, with unlimited clients and a 30-day trial that needs no card. HoneyBook is a general client-management tool, not an EHR.
