Healthie vs Kalix: prices and client limits

Kalix Standard gives unlimited clients at $27 a month, billed monthly, where Healthie Core is $19.99 a month for 10 active clients, as read on October 30, 2026. Healthie's next plan, Essentials, is $49.99 a month, billed monthly, for 250 clients. Kalix's next plan, Virtual Practice, is $47 a month, billed monthly. Both are EHR (electronic health record) systems.

Yearly, Healthie Core is $18 a month, billed annually. Kalix Standard is $270 a year, a yearly total, which is $22.50 a month when divided by 12 (a computation, not a Kalix price).

Portal, app and video on each plan

Kalix lists the client portal, smartphone app, telehealth and online scheduling from Virtual Practice, $47 a month, billed monthly. Healthie's pricing page lists custom forms, group and blast messaging and data transfer support from Essentials, and group telehealth and online programs from Plus, $129.99 a month, billed monthly.

Charting for dietitians: ADIME and the Nutrition Care Process

Kalix's chart notes come in ADIME, SOAP and DAP formats, and Kalix says it supports the Nutrition Care Process. ADIME stands for Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, and Monitoring/Evaluation. Healthie calls its EHR ONC-certified and lists smart-fill charting, with AI charting as an extra-fee add-on. This describes software features, not medical or legal advice.

Trials, refunds and importing records

Healthie's trial lasts 14 days on Plus and asks for no credit card. Kalix's lasts one month, also with no card, and Kalix says its subscriptions are non-refundable. Healthie lists data transfer support on Essentials. Kalix says it imports data for no extra charge.

With 120 clients to bring in, Healthie needs Essentials at $49.99 a month billed monthly, or $45 a month billed annually, while Kalix Standard holds them at $27 a month billed monthly, or $270 a year billed annually, with the free import.

Where Practice Better fits

As a third option, Practice Better offers Sprout, $0 for 3 clients; confirm you qualify. Its built-in video comes with Starter at $35 a month, billed monthly, where Kalix starts video at $47 a month on Virtual Practice. Its charting page names SOAP, ADIME, DAP, BIRP or a custom format, and its 14-day trial, 30 days on Team, takes a card at sign-up that is charged at the end unless you cancel.
